Meet the landlords

Meet Sylvia Hodgkiss and Phil Roe – General Managers

Sylvia and Phil are the dynamic duo who run the Woolpack Pub and Kitchen. Phil has worked in the pub trade for 24 years, both as an assistant manager and also running his own successful pubs.
He persuaded Sylvia to join the trade two years ago shortly after they met (she had previously worked for the NHS supporting mental health patients in the Nottingham area); and she took to it like a duck to water.

She and Phil love life working together as a team for Batemans and serving the Wainfleet community. They were enticed by Batemans friendly approach to business and the level of hands-on support they receive from the Brewery.

In their spare time, they share a passion for Northern Soul and Scooters. In addition, Sylvia loves a spot of traditional Morris Dancing.
